Categories and Tags

Categories and tags classify games and provide separate landing pages on the platform site. Use them to help players browse a genre or theme and to reuse the same game group in pages and menus. Open Categories and tags to search the existing values, view their game counts, or sort them alphabetically, by game count, or by creation date.

Create a category or tagโ€‹

  1. Click Add category or Add tag.
  2. Enter the Russian name.
  3. Check the generated slug and edit it if necessary. A slug can contain Latin letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores.
  4. Click Create.

Names and slugs must be unique within their type. A new category or tag is not assigned to games automatically; add it while editing the relevant games in Managing games.

Customize a category or tagโ€‹

Open an item from the list. Its site-specific settings include:

  • localized names for the platform languages;
  • a 256 ร— 256 icon;
  • localized OG title, description, sharing image, and footer text.

Tags use the same settings workflow. Their values are independent from categories, so create and customize the required tag separately.

Click Save changes to apply the customization. Reset restores the entity settings to their default values and removes the platform-specific overrides.

Delete a category or tagโ€‹

Deletion removes the category or tag page and cannot be undone. The control panel blocks deletion while at least one platform game uses the value. Remove it from every affected game first, then return to the category or tag page and confirm deletion.

Before deleting, also remove menu items and page blocks that refer to the category or tag.
